Welcome to BIOL102, Principles of Biology I!
Only lecture content is written up in this website. The laboratory component is only carried out at school and is entirely in person. There are, however, many links on the "useful links" website that can help you learn about the material you work on in both lecture and lab. Take the time to go through those links! For the Fall semester of 2009, Dr. Tamarkin's Principles of Biology I class is part of a learning community (LC), the Strategies for Success Learning Community, along with a College Success Seminar course. Students in this LC will be required to register in both courses and must sign into the BlackBoard website specifically for this LC. From there you will find much additional information for the course as it takes place. Meanwhile, if you find a really great website that you think would be of use to the whole class, or if you wish to provide me with feedback on information in this website, you can always e-mail it to me. If you are interested in taking this class at a distance, Michele Nash and Lisa Rapp are offering it as hybrid courses. That means that you can take their lecture component online, but you will need to come in for labs. |
