Wow! We have finished the cell and are about to learn about what cells can do. Before we do this, though, you will need to learn a little bit more about the DNA in a cell. Specifically, you will need to learn more about the structure of DNA, how DNA can contain our genes, and how the DNA is configured within the nucleus of a cell. After learning about DNA and genes, you will learn specifically about how cells divide. We're going to spend two weeks on cell division, because there are a lot of things involved in cell division and because cell division plays an important role in cancer. |
