Lesson 8
Home Up Genes and Chromosomes Mitosis Spindle Apparatus Cytokinesis Division and Cancer

Wow!  We have finished the cell and are about to learn about what cells can do.  Before we do this, though, you will need to learn a little bit more about the DNA in a cell.  Specifically, you will need to learn more about the structure of DNA, how DNA can contain our genes, and how the DNA is configured within the nucleus of a cell.

After learning about DNA and genes, you will learn specifically about how cells divide.  We're going to spend two weeks on cell division, because there are a lot of things involved in cell division and because cell division plays an important role in cancer.
