Your Lab Kit
Home Up Material Safety Data Sheets

Below is a list of all the lab items included in your lab kit price.   This lab kit should can only be purchased by students enrolled in MB102 via distance education.  Most of the items are included with the initial purchase, but the living organisms will be mailed to you separately.  The kit, including your textbook, will cost approximately $105, or $110 if it has to be shipped to you.   Broken down, the cost is:

bullet
bullet$25 for all the supplemental materials in the kit as well as those sent at a later date (including their shipping cost)
bullet$80 for the book
bullet$5 for kit shipping (only charged if the kit is actually shipped to you)

Total:  $110

Please be careful with the kit items.  They may not look like a lot at the time of purchase, but you will be amazed at how much you can do with them.   Also, keep in mind, some of the items are rather expensive (even if they don't look it) and cannot be replaced easily.  And some of the items must be re-used (like the test tube), so don't throw the general stuff (except for coverslips) away!

Note that there are some labs that are not listed here.  That is because the general materials will suffice for them, you will need to get the materials, or there are no special materials for those labs.  Keep in mind that this list does not serve as a complete materials listing for the course, but only as a listing of what we have included in your kit.

If you have any concerns about the chemicals we are using, please read the Material Safety Data Sheet web page.
