2.  What is the Innocence project?  Has it been successful?  What conditions have to be met to take a case?

3. What is a DNA database?  Potential benefits?  Potential drawbacks?

4.  If  DNA databanks are used, who do you feel should be included?  Everyone?  First time offenders?  All criminals?  Only dangerous criminals?

5.  What are some potential applications of DNA fingerprinting?  What applications did you see described in the articles?

6. What types of samples can be used for DNA fingerprinting?

7.  How might PCR be useful for DNA fingerprinting?

8. Do a search for any current applications of DNA fingerprinting in newspapers or magazines.  Most sources are now searchable online.  Bring what you find to class to discuss.
