I am retired and leading the good life, by enjoying teaching through "Distance Learning Classes!"

Hi, I'm Mrs. Carol Roberts and I realize the beginning of a semester scares all students, no matter how young or old! I shall try and make the course as interesting as I can and to prepare you to do well by setting guidelines for your assignments.

Being a Distance Learning Course you will need to manage your time well. In each unit of study I shall include a box with terminology from the past that you should be familiar with, and I shall also introduce new terminology from each chapter.

I first developed the "PSYC-400 Abnormal Psychology Class" for the Spring 2000 semester. My students found the work challenging and gave me a great deal of feedback regarding assignments. The next semester I was also given feedback (that is a nice word for "hearing students scream.")   I did take their suggestions and now feel the assignments and the work is appropriate for college students to handle!

I taught "PSYC-100 General Psychology Classes" for thirty years at STCC and always enjoyed the enthusiasm of first year psychology students. This Spring 2001 will be my first "Distance Learning Class" of General Psychology. I am anxious to begin and to see how my students progress with this course and my presentation of the course content.
